We are only 3 months into 2021 and already there have been so many new skincare releases!
As I have been trying to do a low buy and hold myself accountable for how much skincare I actually buy, this has been testing my willpower. But I'm still allowed to look and make wish lists, right?
Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows
While not a skincare item, one makeup item that I cannot live with out is brows! I have naturally fine and light brows and without help they are barely visible. My product of choice is always a brow mascara. For the past few years my go to for brows has always been Tom Ford Fibre Brow Gel. And this is fantastic, but it is also expensive and I am always on a look out for a cheaper alternative. I have tried Benefit Gimme Brow and while this is good, the wand can get overly clumpy and leave a clumpy appearance on the brows. For me this makes Benefit Gimme Brow difficult to work with.

Charlotte Tilbury is launching a brow collection with some new pencils and reformulation of the Legendary Brows mascara. I will be honest, this product had never really caught my eye till the promotion of this new brow collection. The promotional pictures show a nice small brush which is just what I like. And the before and afters show the product giving a fuller and darker appearance to the brow. Described by the website as
"Tinted brow gel with micro-precision brush to add texture and fullness mimicking natural brow hair."
This sounds just up my street and I may have to give this a try!
Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Recovery Serum
I am a sucker for anything Glow Recipe. The packaging, the ingredients, the scents of the products. It all draws me in. And this serum is no exception.

It's no secret that I like to go hard with active ingredients, and can sometimes take it too far and damage my skin barrier causing irritation and redness. This serum is describes as
"This innovative recipe is created with a blend of powerful plant-based ingredients such as nutrient-rich avocado extract + butter, strengthening ceramides, and calming allantoin and rice milk to help strengthen and recover irritated, compromised skin."
Now this sounds perfect for my skin when I have over done it and compromised the skin. From my experience with other ceramics products, and reviews that I have seen online I think this product would fix perfectly into my routine and help support my skin even when my barrier has not been compromised.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body Cream
I did say I was obsessed with Glow Recipe. And I love body products. The formula of this cream sounds heavenly and the reviews I have read online make me so excited to see how watermelon this body cream smells. Described on the website as

"This luscious body cream is whipped with vitamin-rich watermelon seed butter, naturally smoothing hibiscus AHA, soothing watermelon extract, and multi-weight hyaluronic acid for deep moisture and ultimate comfort. The deliciously creamy lotion leaves skin baby-soft and with a healthy glow."
This really does sound good. I have not yet gotten into treatment body lotions and I think this might have to be my first body product containing active ingredients. But I have a large supply of body lotion that I feel I need to get partially through before I purchase this.
Drunk Elephant Protini Powerpeptide Resurf Serum
I have a love/hate relationship with Drunk Elephant. I love their products and formulations. But some of the brands politics bother me. I don't agree with all of their "Smoothy-ing" of products and using retinol during the day mixed with exfoliating acids. And from what I have heard, their social media team do not react well to criticism. But despite this, the formulas keep pulling me back in.

"With its ultra-concentrated blend of 11 peptides, Protini™ Powerpeptide Resurf Serum delivers plump, bouncy skin while targeting a dull, uneven complexion. The appearance of fine lines, sun damage, and enlarged pores is improved and glow is restored, while powerful water-boosting ingredients (such as snow mushroom extract, sodium hyaluronate, and sodium PCA) replenish hydration levels. Antioxidant-rich, nonfragrant plant oils and vitamins (tocotrienols, squalane, green tea seed oil, and marula oil) soothe while adding a touch of lightweight moisture to skin."
This formula sounds really exciting, Lactic acid, peptides and hydrating ingredients! count me in. So far the only thing putting me off is the price. At £69 for 30ml, this is one of Drunk Elephant's more pricey products.
No7 Advanced Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid & Camellia Oil Facial Capsules
I use to think of No7 as a little old fashioned and set in their ways with their formulations and product offerings. But in the last year or so No7 has been bringing out some pretty awesome products. With my new interest in No7 skincare, and my love of capsules I'm not sure how I've managed to resist these so far.

No7 has brought out a range of capsules including Hyaluronic Acid & Camellia Oil, Vitamin C & Vitamin E, Ceramide & Peptide, and Squalane. While I am interested in trying all of the capsules, I think the Hyaluronic Acid & Camellia Oil capsules sound the most to my liking. Described as
"Our formulation combines different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid in a carefully blended mix, spanning low molecular and high molecular weights, and draws in moisture for instant visible benefits & long lasting hydration."
These capsules are also plastic free and made from 95% plant based material making these a winner on the sustainability front.
The Inky List

After trying some of The Inky List hair care, Oat Cleansing Balm and Polyglutamic Acid I have been completely wowed. At this point I think I want everything from The Inky List.
At the moment the top of my wish list is the Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Hair Treatment, Salicylic Acid Cleanser, Hepta-Peptide, and Symbright Moisturiser.
The Ingredients list of everything from The Inky List is quite simplistic and the packaging is plain. But I love the packaging, and so far I've enjoyed every product I've tried. And I love an effective affordable brand.
